Orange County Animal Services is thrilled to partner with rescue groups to help place homeless shelter pets in loving, forever homes.
Rescue groups are organizations that have united with a life-saving mission and aim to help pets in need at shelters. They rescue pets that may be critically injured, in need of behavioral rehabilitation or are simply overlooked for adoption purposes.
The shelter currently partners with approximately 80 rescue groups. Through their tireless efforts, more than 1,800 pets were saved during fiscal year 2020. Many of those pets would not have had a chance to thrive if not for the work of the rescue partners.
